Dear partners of the Telekom Foundation,

World Vision Romania has been running since 2007 the program “I want in the ninth grade, a program to prevent school dropout for high school students, which brings continuity to the support for education that children received in the community development projects of the World Foundation Vision Romania in the last 27 years.

The project takes place in Dolj, Valcea, Cluj, Iasi and Ialomita counties and offers students from the village a monthly scholarship that makes it possible to continue their studies at high school. The students are high school graduates with good school results, who want to continue their studies but do not have the necessary financial resources.

A student from a rural area can be supported with a monthly scholarship worth 250 RON. This monthly scholarship offers the student individual counseling, access to monthly semester educational and socializing activities as well as summer camps. Moreover, the program offers the possibility to correspond with the student through letters and even to visit him.

We would be honored for the Telekom Foundation to become a strategic partner in the I Want in the Ninth Grade project and work together to reduce school dropout in rural areas.

Thank you!

World Vision Foundation
